Hofmann USA Inc. d/b/a Hofmann Services considers the privacy of our clients, applicants, workforce suppliers, and employees very important and we acknowledge that you have certain rights related to any personal information we collect from you.  We understand that the privacy of your personal information is important to you. The nature of our business requires us to collect and maintain personal information and we understand that we have a responsibility to protect it. Hofmann Services supports the various national and local privacy laws, and has procedures in place to meet the requirements of those laws.

The following information discloses our privacy principles in addition to our practices for gathering, storing, and using your personal data. We encourage you to review this information so that you may understand and consent to how we may collect, use, and share your personal information. Unless you provide sufficient personal information, we may be unable to assist you with your staffing or employment requirements.

Hofmann Services privacy policies reflect these principles, and will also conform to any privacy requirements in the countries in which we do business.

What Personal Data We Collect

I.K. Hofmann USA, Inc. informs our clients, applicants, suppliers, and employees about the information we collect, how we use it, and whether it will be transferred to third parties. Where possible, we provide individuals with details prior to their providing information, or as soon thereafter as is practical.

Hofmann Services goal in collecting your personal data is to provide you with the most personalized employment services possible. By knowing more about you, Hofmann Services is able to deliver a more comprehensive service to you.

In general, personal information is requested when you contact us looking for employment, applying for a job posting, or to search for a candidate to fill a job opening. We ask individuals for their names, addresses, and other personal information such as experience, education, and skills. When hiring employees, we may also request personal information that is considered "sensitive," such as social security or tax information. Hofmann Services recommends that you do not disclose sensitive personal characteristics (e.g., gender.) on the initial resume or curriculum vitae (CV) you submit to us.

The amount of personal information you are required to supply will normally be limited to only that which is necessary to supply our services to you.

Applicants and Employees:

When you register on our website for our job-search services I.K. Hofmann USA Inc., may ask you for your name, e-mail address, or other personal information such as work experience, education, and skills.

Our Applicant Home site allows website visitors to create a job-alerts profile. The profile acts as an intelligent agent to identify those jobs in our database that match your criteria. When a matching job becomes available, our job alerts match found system will generate an email to all applicants meeting posted job qualifications. These e-mail notifications travel over the Internet via non-secure networks.

We will also use your contact information to send you e-mail messages about our company or job postings that fit your profile. Only Hofmann Services (or agents working on behalf of Hofmann Services) will send you these direct mailings. You may opt out of receiving future mailings via e-mail; see the Choice Opt out Opt in section below. At no time will we release your personal information to our clients without your consent.

Clients: For those clients who utilize our Hofmann Services client site we will ask for personal information necessary to fulfill your staffing request.

Links: This Website contains links to other Hofmann Services sites that adhere to the same privacy principles. For links to non-Hofmann Services organizations, I.K. Hofmann USA, Inc is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Websites.

Workforce suppliers: When I.K. Hofmann USA, Inc. requests our workforce suppliers to provide personal information on their sub-suppliers, we require the workforce suppliers to execute the necessary communication, releases and controls with their sub tier contractors to ensure the data security and privacy.

Retention of Personal Data: Personal data that is collected from you will be retained or destroyed according to I.K. Hofmann USA, Inc. requirements and/or local laws.

Shared Information

I.K. Hofmann USA, Inc. holds its employees, agents, and suppliers accountable for maintaining the trust our applicants, employees, and clients place in us. We educate our employees and periodically verify our compliance with our privacy and security policies. I.K. Hofmann USA, Inc. does not sell or trade personal data to third parties. We will disclose personal information when required by law.

In order to provide our employment services, personal data you give us may be shared with other Hofmann Services operations that are governed by the same privacy principles and security practices. Because of the global scope of our operation, this data may also be transferred, stored, and processed in the United States or any other country in which I.K. Hofmann Gmbh or its affiliates, subsidiaries, or agents maintain facilities.

We will send the personal data of our applicants, workforce suppliers and temporary employees to Hofmann Services’ clients and/or agents who are acting on our behalf to provide you with permanent or temporary employment opportunities...

We occasionally use other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, such as drug and background screening, payroll processing services and health-care benefits. We will only provide these agents and suppliers with the personal information they need to deliver the employment service we have requested.

I.K. Hofmann USA, Inc. may also collect and report demographic data, (e.g. what percentage of our employees are college graduates) to our clients, or as required by law. If we do collect and report this demographic information, we remove any unique personally identifiable information (name, address, etc.) that would attach you to this demographic data. This anonymous information is used and analyzed only at an aggregate level to help us understand trends and more precisely determine how to improve our services to you.

The jobs portion of the I.K. Hofmann USA, Inc.website is powered by CareerBuilder. When you submit registration information and/or your resume, your information and your resume are hosted on a segregated area of CareerBuilder’s servers. If you apply for a job or elect to activate your resume at Hofmann Services website, we will be able to view your information and your resume, but no one else will be able to view them. In the future, if you visit CareerBuilder’s website or another website whose careers area is powered by CareerBuilder, you may be invited to activate your resume there as well. Only those websites on which you activate your resume will be able to view your information and your resume. Moreover, if you activate your resume on CareerBuilder’s website, such activation will be treated as if you had originally registered with CareerBuilder and posted your resume in its searchable database for viewing and downloading by CareerBuilder’s employer and agency clients. In such case, CareerBuilder’s handling of your registration information and your resume will be subject to CareerBuilder’s Privacy Statement, which can be found by clicking the link entitled "CareerBuilder.com Privacy Statement" at the bottom of the CareerBuilder.com homepage.

Choice: Opt Out/Opt In

Hofmann USA, Inc. offers its clients, applicants, workforce suppliers, and employee’s choices about receiving further communications from us, uses of information beyond the purposes for which it was provided, and transferring data to third parties. Hofmann Services obtains consent for any information deemed sensitive.

The amount of personal information you are required to supply will normally be limited to that which is necessary to supply the services you requested. For users of our Hofmann Services website we may periodically send you updates via e-mail to alert you to jobs in our database that match your criteria. We may also send you e-mails regarding other career opportunities. Each notification tells you how to opt out of receiving future e-mails. At the point where we request personal data about you, our site also gives you the opportunity to opt out of receiving communications.

Sensitive Data - Opt In: When hiring employees or on-boarding workforce suppliers, I.K. Hofmann USA, Inc. may collect the type of data viewed by some countries as "sensitive," such as information required providing health-care services, drug and background screenings, or abiding by government requirements. This collection of data is either compatible with employment law or is vital to the interests of the Hofmann Services employee or supplier. In order to comply with statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunities or to assist Hofmann Services in compiling data for its affirmative action practices, we may also ask you to provide gender or racial information. This provision of this type of information will be voluntary, unless it is required by law, and will not hinder your employment or project opportunities. On our website, you may access and change your own personal data at any time by signing in with your personal id and password in the supplied fields, and selecting "Edit Profile."

There are no fees associated with accessing or updating the personal data previously provided by you.
